Lets MAKE & BAKE. Put on an apron, roll up your sleeves and get the rolling pin out. We are going to make fabulous Rich Crust and Savoury Pastry. During this class you will learn how to make a range of delicious Meat Pies, Cornish Pasties and fabulous Quiche. Served piping hot this is the ideal food for the cold winter evenings.
CORNISH PASTY: A pasty is a baked pastry, a traditional variety of which is particularly associated with Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is made by placing an uncooked filling, typically meat and vegetables, on one half of a flat shortcrust pastry circle, folding the pastry in half to wrap the filling in a semicircle and crimping the curved edge to form a seal before baking. DELICIOUS.
PORK PIE: This is a traditional British cold meat pie. It consists of pork meat and seasoning and sealed in crust pastry. It is normally eaten as a snack or with a salad.
QUICHE LORRAINE: Quiche is a savoury, open-faced pastry crust with a filling of savoury custard with one or more of cheese, meat, seafood or vegetables. Quiche can be served hot or cold
VEGETARIAN STRUDEL: This product was developed here at the academy and is ideal for the person who prefers not to eat meat.

The maximum class size is 12 students and students work individually and not in pairs - we believe this provides you with a superior learning environment.
