

A 3 Day certificate course that is suitable for a complete beginner and also for those who want to improve their skills in modelling and piping.
On this beginner’s certificate course you will learn how to develop basic cake decorating techniques such as:
• Coating a cake to achieve a smooth finish
• Crimping
• Embossing
• Frilling
• Piping with royal icing
• Modelling figures
• Plunger flowers
We will show you the techniques and tips that will greatly improve your skills and give you the confidence to create your own sugar craft master pieces.
Demonstrations will be given on the making of royal icing, a piping bag and modelling paste there will be a question and answer session.
At the end of this 3 day course you will have a beautiful chocolate biscuit cake to take home. The cake can be decorated with any of the modelled figures made on the course.
Each student who completes the course will be presented with a Baking Academy of Ireland Certificate and will take their beautiful creations home.
