Rustic Bread for Bread Lovers - Enjoy the experiencs of kneading and stretching dough and baking perfect bread. Baking your own bread is a very enjoyable experience - it is also more gratifying than bought factory bread. This course is for the person who has some baking experience but wishes to improve their skills while, at the same time, learning how to make a wider range of interesting and healthy breads.
This module is a 6 hour practical hands-on class during which you will learn how to make and bake the following breads: Parker House Rolls (these small bread rolls from the famous Parker Restaurant at the Parker House Hotel in Boston where the Boston Cream Pie was developed also); Cottage Loaf (this very English bread is made using two balls of dough placed one on top of the other. When baked it is delicious with slice of Stilton cheese); Oatmeal Bread (this bread is made from a combination of flour and oatmeal. The dough is rolled in oatmeal prior to baking and the flavour is fantastic); Spelt Bread (Spelt wheat fell out of favour with modern flour millers because it is difficult to mill. It is an ancient wheat and the flour makes a really flavoursome bread)
