(A) TRADITIONAL PASTRY BAKING: Dust off your rolling pin and we will show you there is no need to fear making pastry, it really is so easy.  On this course you will learn the secrets and skills of making delicious Pastry. We make our pastry by hand - the professional way - never in a food processor and we will explain the technical reasons for this. Participants will Make and Bake:  (1) Rich Short Paste; and using this they will make (2) Traditional Irish Apple Pie; (3) Bakewell Tart; (4) Dutch Pear Tart and (5) a Tray Bake.

(B) CLASSIC PASTRY BAKING:  We will show you how to make rich short pastry that never cracks or tears when you are rolling it and behaves perfectly in the oven. We make our pastry by hand - the professional way - never in a food processor and we will explain the technical reasons for this. Participants will Make and Bake:  (1) Rich Short Paste; (2) Bavarian Apple Streusel; (3) Lemon Meringue Pie (4) Apricot Tart and (5) Irish Butter Shortbreads (superior to anything you may have tasted).

Bakers Do It Better - and you will learn more when you attend one of our courses and you will find that you will ALWAYS have a successful bake using our recipes. The maximum class size is 12 students and students work individually and not in pairs - we believe this provides you with a superior learning environment.  Also the fee covers everything, including ingredients, and car parking is free.Our courses are ideal for both Adults and Teenagers...
