The Baking Academy of Ireland provides baking workshops for junior schools and transition year students. Our workshops are unique and educational and the children find them most interesting. We offer a number of different workshops, including bread making, cake making, pastry tarts and sugar craft. Each school decides on the type of workshop they would like.
Our 2.5 hour sugar craft workshop consists of cake decorating with roll out icing, some basic piping skills, making a sugarcraft plaque and sugarcraft flowers. Students also learn to roll out sugarcraft paste, crimp, make flowers and display them on their plaque. They are also given a demonstration on how to decorate cupcakes and they then proceed to have a wonderful hour of creative bliss decorating their cupcakes with various buttercreams and edible sugar decorations - all of which they take home.
TESTIMONIAL: I have no hesitation what so ever in giving your transition year programme the highest recommendation. Many of our students say it was the best thing that they did in Transition Year. Many thanks again, Michelle Regan
